can't open Stickies Tools SSIT

when i double click on Stickies Tools SSIT i get the error msg 'the ordinal 9272 could not be located in the dynamic link library

I guess the same solution suggested here :  https://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/support/kb.pl?q=00093   will work ( updating microsoft libraries )

i already have that Redistributable Package installed and it still didn't work

9272 ordinal i only found in mfc90u.dll , you can check if your version is the same , ssit.exe works fine on my pc   ( win10 pro )

Are you sure you have that exact version of the library installed?  It might be worth downloading and running the installer for the linked file anyway to be sure.

I have a similar issue but the message I get is "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." I have the most recent Microsoft Visual C++  Feature Pack Redistributable Package (64 bit) and I placed a copy of mfc90u.dll in the folder where the SSIT executable is.  I still get the same error message.  I can find no event log and have not been able to locate the command-line sxstrace.exe tool.  I would appreciate some direction at this point as I am now in way over my head.

I guess you are trying ssit10 and not the older ssit exe . I get the same problem and reinstalling this version does not help.
I wonder if the ssit10.exe is not a debug version instead of a release version  as someone helpfully pointed out ....i guess we have to wait for Tom Revell to visit the forum...

I can confirm that the problem is specific to SSIT10.  I downloaded SSIT and it performed flawlessly.   10 still doesn't function at all.
At least with SSIT I can finally do some cleanup of my scattered backups. <G>

I checked - it's not a debug build which I uploaded by mistake.  However ... in checking it did remind me that it's a 64-bit app, so perhaps this is what's needed:

Yes, that was the problem.  I downloaded the indicated file, vcredist_x64, installed it and SSIT10 now works as advertised.

Ok i see , if you click on the link it is redirected  viglink.comhttps://redirect./?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_

You need to copy/paste the link otherwise you get advertisement  thank you forumotion .....
