Caffeine - Making edit on Google sheets - Possible bug

Steps to reproduce are very easy:
Start Caffeine.
Open a Google sheet (in Chrome).
Simply select any cell with value (not in edit mode, just select and highlight it).

Wait for Caffeine to send the "key press" (like 30 seconds) and the cell is edited and value is removed.


Here you need to press escape to avoid the actual edit.
If any click is given in any other place on the sheet the edit is confirmed and the value is lost.

I damaged some data because this behavior passes unnoticed most of the time.
Also is possible that the same happens in other applications, but don't know.

Caffeine version: 1.97
Windows 10
Chrome 123.0.6312.58
