background color not saving with style.

I change a sticky to have a particular background and particular font/color/size.

When I "save it as style" and pick a style (say style 3), if I then apply a different style and then go back to my style 3, the background color has changed to whatever the other style had.

Thoughts?

I just did the test, and for me it works fine...


1) Create a note
2) Set its text in a specific police and color
3) Set its background in a specific color
4) Save it as style 9
5) Apply style 3
    => Police and colors (text and background) become as they are definedfor style 3
6) Apply style 9
    => Police and colors (text and background) become as they were at step 3

I'm glad those steps work for you.

I just did the identical thing (per your post) and when I apply style 9, the background does not change back.

No idea.... except following :

Do you run the latest version of stickies v10.1d ?
Are you in W10 like me ? (W10 Pro 22H2 build 19045.2846)

If you go in Settings / Appearance, what is shown in the settings dialog for Style 9 ?

If you create another new sticky, and apply the style 9 to it, does-it get the background color ?

There was a fix in v10.1a, "Saving styles from the context menu fixed" - perhaps that's what you need?  An update might solve the issue?

I'm on 10.1d - but on another computer 10.1a works correctly.  How do I get previous releases?

If you have a 10.1a you could copy the stickies.exe . I tried the test from LaurentG and it works om my pc to so your problem is quite an enigma ...
