email using mapi win10
Sat May 09, 2020 1:13 pm
The default email app is Mail , setting stickies to use mapi to send emails does not work . Using SMTP i have no problems (server uses no authentication ).
debug:
09/05/2020 14:04.50 [UNKNOWN ] One or more unspecified errors occurred
09/05/2020 14:04.50 [EMAIL ] Failed to email xxxxxshi@gmail.com
When i use " mailto " in a script , Mail app sends the email without problems.
Is there anything i can check ?

I can't be sure, but I suspect the W10 Mail app doesn't support MAPI. See these links:

Neither are concrete proof that it doesn't ... but I strongly suspect that's the problem.
mailto: is neither SMTP nor MAPI, it's more or less the same system that associates .docx files with MS Word. You can use it to specify a recipient and a subject, but not much else. See here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/aa767737(v%3Dvs.85)
Both SMTP and MAPI can be used to supply all the details about an email, including a rich body, and attachments.
