Mass Color Change
Sun Apr 28, 2024 5:53 pm
Using the "Manage Notes" function, I am able to make mass/multiple changes to stickies. For example, I wanted to make all of my existing recurring stickies the same color to help me quickly categorize them. I can grab multiple stickies from the "recurring" list, either by CTRL plus each one, or by using shift to grab a continuous list, and then right click to "set colour". That works, and the stickies change color.
However, when the stickies wake up they have not changed color. And - the next time I restart my computer or the stickies program, each sticky is back to its original color.
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but it seems intuitive that my method would work based on the graphical feedback the program is giving me along the way.

Ha, how did I miss that when I was writing that code. Yes, I can see the same problem, the code tells the notes to change colour, it then performs a "save" of any notes which need saving ...but the missing step was telling the notes with the new colour that they now need to be saved.
Try this build: https://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/stickiesFix.zip
That should get it right.
