Can someone kindly tell me how to set the default note color to RANDOM?

In appearence default settings ,set the color to 253,253,253 and click pick to get a random selection of easy to use colors , setting it to 254,254,254 get total random colors many will be dark ...

Thanks, guest_today. Where in the program instructions is that diddy hidden? At any rate, I just reset for color and your directions are spot-on.

It was in a post from LaurentG some time ago , in an older version there was a color random setting in the color pick dialog .

Yes, I remember it, which is why I was puzzled when it was deleted.

SPECIAL NOTE ... In reference to my postings regarding setting and saving Default preferences, and setting new note default color to "random," I have discovered quite by accident, that these two settings conflict with each other. If you set a single color as the default new note color, then Stickies works fine. If you choose to set a random color as default, however, any font size you choose as default will not be saved by Stickies... it will default to 10.

Hope this information is useful to others.

Glad you solved the mystery of the non sticking default ! You can report it to Tom Revell , finding a bug that is reproducible makes for big satisfaction if you find it in your code !
