RDP disconnect with Caffeine active

For some reason RDP was disconnecting, and then attempting to reconnect successfully today while I had Caffeine active.

I tried to monkey around with the options, changing the keypress to Shift. Still, disconnect issue.

Anyone hazard a guess as to why this was occurring?

As it turns out, similar disconnect occurred later that day, after I had deactivated caffeine.

Initially I deactivated caffeine and it seemed to stop, then I reactivated and it started up again - this was all while I was active anyway. I think we have a case of illusory correlation here...
