How to stop view changing on save?
Sat Jul 10, 2021 6:21 pm
Is there a way to stop the stickie page shifting the view when you save it?
With a busy schedule and full stickie notes, this is time-consuming to have to constantly try and find where you were right before you saved the stickie. It always jumps to a different view when I save.

Do you mean you have a note with a scrollbar, and the vertical scroll position is changing? What "save" are you doing to cause it to reset, as I can both force a manual save, and also quit and restart the app without the current scroll position being affected?

Hi Tom, yes it's a note with a scrollbar and I'm using Ctrl-S to save it. Is there a quick way to save without changing the vertical scroll position? If I have to quit and restart the app then that would take as much time as trying to re-find my original position.
Thanks,
Alex

Only with a workaround (or two...)
The easiest to use : ctrl+drag the titlebar , it creates a clone from the sticky , save the clone and delete it .
The second : ctrl+m opens the Manager saving the sticky from there leaves the scrollbar in place when i tried it....

I did use Ctl-S on version 9 and before.
Version 10 auto-saves on Exit or after every change or 9 Seconds max. I never have to force a save on v10+ and my Scroll bar stays in place.
But I only use Form, Fit & Function and only as portable(s).
Maybe I don't understand the problem.

Hi Spook,
Thanks. I didn't know v.10 auto-saved every 9 seconds. Is that written anywhere?
I've been using Ctrl-S on Windows 10 PC.
