Attach Stacks to Program

It would be extremely helpful to be able to attach a stack to a program in the same manner as attaching a Sticky Note to a program.

For instance, when I am working on genealogy I have a large number of notes that I have saved and attached to my genealogy program.  When the program is closed they are out of the way until I need them. 

I also have several stacks pertaining to other projects I work on.  These stacks take up valuable screen space on a laptop screen so it would be very helpful to attach these stacks to the appropriate programs so they are only visible when the pertinent program is running.  The alternative would be to attach each note to the appropriate program and have a dozen or more notes open at the same time.

I don't know if this is a realistic or even possible feature so if not, it is what it is and if possible a real boost to productivity.
