Stickies server web page image errors
Mon Aug 10, 2020 7:00 pm
I setup the stickies server on my Server 2019 install, changed the default HTTP port to 9981 to avoid some conflicts, and setup the firewall rules and such. Works great except when I go to the friends list, none of the GIF images display as part of the "tree". Using Chrome for my browser, all Windows systems. I tried restarting the Stickies server service but that didn't help.
I can get along without this working of course, but it would be nice to know why it isn't and possible correct the problem for my other admins and users!

Huh, that's been an interesting one to track down. I've literally not touched the Stickies Server code in ten years, and this bug report is the first time I've needed to take a look. I think I found the problem - and I've certainly learned a lot more about how to write a web server and speak HTTP in that decade. The current release code doesn't send any headers along with images, which was probably OK ten years ago with IE6 or whatever we were using, but these days browsers are a little more stringent.

Let me know how you get on please. Seems OK to me though
