Caffeine - Disable override
Tue Oct 22, 2024 9:50 am
I configured a bat file to start Caffeine at startup using the option "-activehours".
This shows up in the command bar
However, if for any reason I need to temporarily change the caffeine status, the command bar popup changes saying that I'm overriding the command line option
Is there a way to disable the override and tell caffeine to go back to the planned active hours schedule? Or is the only way to do so to close and re-launch the app from the command line again?

You could add -replace in your shortcut command line , clicking the shortcut would restore the original setting .
You could contact Tom Revell using the contact page and put link to your forum post .

Yes, there's (now) a menu item to do that. I just uploaded a new version which includes that.
I'd guess you're using a beta version of the app there, which had started to have that stuff added, but perhaps I'd not added that menu item yet? Or perhaps something else

I was using version 1.97. Switching to version 1.98 indeed I found the button to rever to the command line setup. Fantastic!!!!
I think that a simple interface to change the settings without using the command line would be fantastic and a great addition to this tool.
But in the meantime, thank you very much for this tool very effective at keeping at bay my micromanaging boss!
