Ability to move stickie by grabbing ANY outer edge Empty Ability to move stickie by grabbing ANY outer edge

Thu Nov 25, 2021 6:07 pm
I recently started to use Stickie after using mPad for 20 years.

mPad is a bare bones 'sticky notes' piece of software with
few of the bells and whistles that Stickie has.

It does however have one feature that would be nice to
see in Stickie.

In the short time I have used Stickie I have already managed
to get myself into a pickle by moving the top or bottom part of a stickie
off screen.

When I moved the top part off screen I couldn't move its location any longer.
I could make the stickie wider or narrower and longer but that was it.

Similarly when I moved the bottom part of a stickie off the screen I couldn't
access the 'scroll bar' toggle that was located at the bottom of the stickie
and I also couldn't 'shorten' the stickie.

It would be nice to be able to grab ANY outer edge of a stickie so it
could be moved. Currently as far as I can see, only the TOP outer edge
of a stickie allows for this.

mPad allows any of the four sides to be 'grabbed' for moving the sticky.

Right-click on sys tray icon.

Select "Rescue offscreen".

Thanks.

If you click in a note which has gone of the screen a bit, then the alt-arrow keys will allow you to move it around to bring it back under control?

You could also find that the control-shift-x keypress could be useful, depending on where and how the note has been "lost".

If you have scrollbars enabled for a note then you can also size it at the top edge - just below the title bar.
