Conversion aborted
Fri Jan 29, 2021 7:55 pm
I am trying to move my Stickies from one computer to another.
I updated my old system to the current version and then installed it on the new version.
I exported the database so I can point to it.
I launch Stickies on the new computer and it starts a data convertor that goes to the point of trying to upgrade from v8 or v9 and then fails.
I am not able to get around this and am not sure why it is trying to do the conversion anyway.

I guess you copied some old sticky files to your new pc that is triggering the conversion . I would uninstall stickies and install a " clean " version of v10 on your new pc .If it works fine exit the program and overwrite the stickies.db file with the one of your " old " pc .
V10 only uses stickies.db for data storing unlike v8-9 it does not have a stickies.ini or store.mdb.
Best regards ,

You have to delete all files from the ..roaming\stickies directory . As you can see in the message it started to convert store.mdb this is an " old " file not an v10 file .
If you remove all files ( or just delete the stickies directory ) and do a clean install you can just replace the stickies.db with the one in your other pc ( exit stickies first ).
