Install Stickies 10.0c fails on Win10 1909

Hi,

I am a new Stickies user, and I want to install Stickies 10.0c. OS is Win10 Pro 1909. 

I downloaded the installer 'stickies_setup_10_0c.exe' from the Zhorn software website. When I execute it, nothing seems to happen. Don't see anything happening. Don't see it popping up in Task Manager. Also tried starting as administrator, with no luck.

Then I downloaded v. 9.0e which installs fine.
Re-tried installing 10.0c, still fails.

My PC is protected by Kaspersky. I thought that may block the install, but cannot find evidence of that in the logs. (Maybe I missed it...)
My computer is logged in to a domain. Not sure if that has any influence?

How can I help to solve this?

I just updated to version 10.c ,  allowing  after the win10 notification that it was an unsigned exe , it installed with the usual "first use" dialog windows.
Maybe you can scan the install file using the kaspersky program and see if it finds anything .

Seems to be the same.

I don't even get to the point where Win10 reports it is an unsigned exe.
I Double-click from explorer. Explorer loses focus for 0.5 second, then gets back the focus. That is all I see.

Update: When I set compatibility options for the installer to run in Win8 compatibility mode, it installs fine!
